In today's episode, Tracy talks about the murder of Emily Coombes at the hands of her 13 year old son, Robert Coombes. Robert's actions received the acknowledgement and approval of his little brother, 12 year old Nathanial Coombes as they spent the nearly two weeks after her death attending cricket matches and skipping school while her corpse was rotting where she slept the night of her murder. Although, the evidence is cut and dry as to who, and when- the why is not completely clear. The conclusion or theory at the end of the story might change your mind about Robert and his little brother, Nattie.
Today's cocktail is called the Wicked Son. It is equal parts refreshing and tasty! The recipe is below:
10 fresh mint leaves
4 oz. Pimms No. 1
2 oz. London Dry Gin
1 oz. lime juice
2 barspoons Fernet Branca
Reed's Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
Muddle the fresh mint leaves to express the essence. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice (except Ginger Ale) and shake vigorously. Pour into a tall glass over ice. Top with Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer. Garnish with a cherry and sprig of mint. Enjoy!
